I've survived three brain tumors!!! Only one malignant. One done with Cyberknife noninvasive surgery. I would recommend this method of treatment if your qualified! Fly to a machine if possible!

I've had 5 surgeries and with my 2nd recurrence they originally suggested cyber knife but my tumor was too large. If you qualify for it, cyber knife can be a great option for quicker recovery, but keep in mind you will not get your current tumor pathology. Make sure to have a discussion with your neuro-oncologist if pathology would be helpful in further treatment options for you.

I had 6 meningioma tumors, 2 surgeries, cyber-knife radiation, and perhaps gamma knife radiation in the spring. I love, love the knife radiation, so much easier to recover than surgeries.

You are my hero! I've been crabbing about 2 surgeries with the possibility of a 3rd and/or radiation. I want to hit the tumors when they are small enough to use the knife radiation, but I didn't think of the pathology angle. I have meningiomas and ordinarily they are benign. Wishing you all the best. peg
