Hot Topics in Family Medicine is an annual one day course designed for the family medicine physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and nurses. This course will provide attendees with current and relevant updates to your daily management of various patient health concerns in primary care.

Target Audience

This course is designed for Primary Care Physicians (M.D. or D.O.), physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this course, the participants should be able to: 

  • Review guideline and data driven management of hypertension.
  • Review the most recent recommendations for laboratory testing and imaging in first trimester bleeding.
  • Identify signs of community acquired pneumonia.
  • Select the most appropriate antibiotic given known resistance patterns.
